How to use WorldHourly
WorldHourly helps you find a meeting time that works for everyone, in every time zone. It's made for remote teams, freelancers with clients in other countries, and anyone with family abroad. You don't have to do any time math.
1. See the time in other places
- Go to the World clock at the top of the home page.
- Tap Add time zone and type a city, like Tokyo or London. You can add up to 8.
- A card shows that city's time. It also says how many hours ahead or behind you it is.
- Want to see a different time? Drag the colored bar on any card, or type a time in Set time. Every card moves with it.
- Tap Back to now to return to the real time.
Tip: Copy all copies every city's time, ready to paste into a message.
2. Find a time to meet
- Scroll to the Meeting planner.
- Tap Add place for each person's city. You need at least 2 places.
- Pick the Day and how long the meeting is (Length).
- Each column is one hour. The colors tell you how good it is for everyone:
- Best: everyone is between 9 am and 5 pm.
- Good: everyone is between 7 am and 9 pm.
- Someone is up early, late or asleep: try another hour if you can.
- Tap a column. You see that time for each person, side by side.
Not sure where to start? Under the planner, the Pick an hour box lists the 3 best times for that day. Tap one.
3. Share a meeting time
- Tap the time you picked in the planner.
- Tap Share link. Send the link to everyone.
- Each person opens it and sees the time in their own city.
Or tap Copy invite text to paste the times into an email or chat.
4. Ask a question
- Go to Ask WorldHourly.
- Type a question the way you would say it. For example: "What time is it in Tokyo when it's 3 pm tomorrow in New York?"
- Tap Ask. You get the answer right away.
You can also ask "When do the clocks change in London?" to see the next daylight saving change.
It only answers time questions. Free visitors get 3 questions each visit. Pro has no limit.
5. Do date math
Use the Date and time calculators:
- Add or subtract: "What is 90 days from now?" Pick a start time, add or subtract, then tap Calculate.
- Duration: "How long until my flight lands?" Pick a start and an end, even in different time zones, then tap Measure duration.
Both handle daylight saving time for you.
6. What Pro adds
Pro is for people who meet across time zones every week. It costs $29 a year or $4.99 a month. You can cancel any time.
- Best times this week: no good time today? The planner shows the best times for everyone over the next 7 days. This helps most when people are 10 or more hours apart.
- Send a calendar invite: tap Google Calendar. Google opens a draft event with the time filled in. Type your guests' emails into Add guests, then press Save. Google emails each guest the invite in their own time. Use Download .ics for Outlook or Apple Calendar.
- Unlimited questions in Ask WorldHourly.
- No ads anywhere on WorldHourly.
7. Sign in and billing
- Sign in: tap Sign in at the top of the page. Choose Continue with Google, or type your email and we send you a one-time link. Use the same email you paid with.
- On a new phone or computer: just sign in again. Pro comes with you.
- Change your plan or card, or cancel: tap the PRO badge at the top, then Manage billing. If you cancel, Pro stays on until the end of the time you paid for.
