Privacy policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

WorldHourly does not sell personal information. Free visitors don't need an account. Pro members sign in with their email. This page explains exactly what is stored and sent, depending on how you use the site.

What stays in your browser

Your world clock places, meeting planner settings and theme are saved in your browser's local storage on your device. If you're signed in to Pro, a copy of your plan, email and renewal date is kept there so the page can show your account; the server checks your subscription again for every Pro feature. The number of free questions you've asked is kept in session storage and clears when you close the tab. You can delete all of this at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Pro accounts

When you subscribe, we store your email address, your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, your plan, its status and its renewal date in our account database, hosted by Upstash. Signing in sets a cookie named wh_session that keeps you signed in for 30 days; it's needed for Pro to work and isn't used for tracking. Sign-in links are emailed through Resend and expire after 15 minutes. To protect the service we also keep short-lived counters (sign-in attempts, Pro questions per hour), keyed by one-way hashes.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; WorldHourly never sees or stores your card number. Stripe shares your email address, plan and subscription status with us so we can confirm Pro and so you can manage billing.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted on Vercel, which processes each request (including your IP address) to deliver the page and may keep short-lived server logs. Fonts, icons and the time library are served from WorldHourly itself, so loading a page doesn't contact any third party.

Advertising

No ads are shown on WorldHourly today. If ads are turned on for free visitors, they will be served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may then use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites; see how Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can turn off personalized ads at Google Ads Settings. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland will be asked for consent first. Pro members see no ads. This section will be updated before any ads appear.

Analytics

WorldHourly uses Vercel Web Analytics to count page views and a few button clicks, such as opening the upgrade options. It sets no cookies. Vercel identifies a visit with a hash of the incoming request that is discarded after 24 hours, and records the page address, the referring site, an approximate location (country, region and city), and your browser, operating system and device type. We remove query strings from page addresses before anything is sent, and we never send your email address or account details. We use this data only in aggregate, to improve the site.

Children

WorldHourly is not directed to children under 13. Pro, including AI-read questions, is only for people 18 and older.

Your choices and requests

Clear this site's data in your browser to remove everything stored on your device. Signing out ends your session. To access or delete your account and the billing records connected to your subscription, email support@worldhourly.com from the address you used at checkout.
